She was the Director of Evaluation for Community Interventions for Health (an Oxford Health Alliance programme) which was the first and most comprehensive multinational pilot study focused on the use of structural interventions in combination with community coalition building, health education and social media to impact the burden of chronic disease (e.g. diabetes, heart disease, stroke and obesity) currently a global epidemic. As an epidemiologist and public health practitioner, Denise has designed programs, integrated evidence based practices into health care, conducted needs assessment and evaluation studies, as well as developed strategic plans for clients ranging from small organizations to large consortia nationally and internationally.
